MP backs disability and employment project

Aberavon MP Dr Hywel Francis has hosted a major exhibition in Parliament promoting better employment opportunities for young adults with Down’s Syndrome.
Dr Francis said
‘I was delighted to host this photographic exhibition on behalf of the Down’s Syndrome Association entitled ‘Shifting Perspectives’. This WorkFit project conveys positive images of young people with Down’s Syndrome who are achieving in a wide range of employment opportunities, calls for greater support and understanding for those who wish to seek skilled employment and in doing so achieve a more inclusive society.
I am pleased that my Parliamentary Early Day Motion has already gained cross-party support from 70 members of Parliament.
