Dr. Francis: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what discussions he has had with the Foreign Secretary, the Welsh Assembly Government and the US embassy on the establishment of a US consulate in Wales; and if he will make a statement.
Mr. Hain: I am happy to raise this with the US ambassador. I visited the US earlier this year and will continue to work in partnership with the National Assembly for Wales to promote Wales on the international stage.
