River Severn: Tidal Power

Dr Francis: To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what recent discussions he has had with (a) the Secretary of State for Wales and (b) the First Minister of the Welsh Government on his Department's feasibility report on tidal energy systems in the Severn estuary; and if he will make a statement.
Charles Hendry: DECC Ministers and officials have regular discussions with their counterparts in Wales on a range of issues, including tidal energy in the Severn estuary.
