Special US guest at local school

Children at Crymlyn Burrows Primary School, Jersey Marine, recently welcomed a very special guest from the United States. Paul Robeson Jr was attending Swansea University to receive his Honorary Fellowship which was presented to him by Aberavon MP Dr Hywel Francis.

Dr Francis said,
"Following the presentation to Mr Robeson for his work in building on the cultural links established by his father, the civil rights champion, I decided to take him and his wife Marilyn to visit the school. My Wife Mair accompanied us because she had once taught at the school."
"Our American visitors were very impressed by the welcome that they received and the interest the children took in Parliament which they were about to visit the following day."
