MP Praises Local Company on Successful Business Contract

Dr Hywel Francis MP recently visited cable manufacturer, Excel Assemblies based at Baglan Moors, to congratulate them on securing a contract to provide complex wiring systems as part of Bombardier's contract for 1,738 new underground cars on the Jubilee Line of the London Underground. The extra cars will be needed to cope with higher demand for passenger delivery, during the Olympic preparations and beyond, from 2008 – 2015.
Dr Hywel Francis said,
"I am very pleased that Excel Assemblies has successfully secured this contract, which will secure employment for three people at the company over the next five years. I recently visited Excel and was pleased to convey my congratulations personally, to the MD John Bosworth."
