MP welcomes Peace Day

Aberavon MP, Dr Hywel Francis has welcomed the recent International Day of Peace and Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s proposed peace initiative at the United Nations.
Dr Francis said,
‘I welcome and support the Soroptimists International Port Talbot in its highlighting of the International Day of Peace. I wholeheartedly endorse their statement that we should ‘move the peace agenda forward in a spirit of unity and harmony’.
I also welcome Prime Minster Gordon Brown’s initiative in scaling back his Trident proposals as a multilateral disarmament initiative at the United Nations.’
